I am a human rights worker with a passion for racial and reproductive justice. In addition to my job as a Grant Writer at a nonprofit that provides health care, housing and social services for people experiencing homelessness, I also serve as a Board Member of Project Fierce Chicago, a grassroots organization that seeks to reduce LGBTQ youth homelessness by providing safe and affirming transitional housing and supportive services. Lastly, I am a co-organizer with a grassroots committee that amplifies the experiences of, and supports women who have defended themselves against violence and have faced criminalization. I am interested in influencing policy and systems change to positively impact poor communities of color at the local and state level, particularly on issues of criminal justice, public health, and the social safety net.
